Don't Miss These Scary Horror Movies

October and Halloween may be the time when individuals want to view creepy, horror movies but actually these motion pictures are fun to view all year long. Check out a couple of of these frightening picks, you can download anytime of the day or night, any time of the year.

First off, we recommend the great horror movie "House On Haunted Hill" from 1959 and again 40 years later as a remake in 1999, in the story a millionaire invites 5 individuals to spend the night in a home with a murderous past. In the 1959 edition he proffers them $10000 If they can spend the whole night while in the 1999 adaptation, maybe due to inflation of course, the price goes up to $1,000,000.00.

In the 1959 adaptation the millionaire was played by Vincent Price. Other players included Carol Ohmart, Richard Long, Alan Marshal, Carolyn Craig and Elisha Cook. The characters altered names, occupations and characteristics in the 1999 version but the storyline remained the same. Geoffrey Rush played the millionaire, along with Famke Jannsen as his wife. The guests included Taye Diggs, Peter Gallagher, Chris Kattan, Ali Larter and Bridgette Wilson.

No horror film assortment would be comprehensive without Bram Stoker's Dracula. The initial Dracula movie from 1931 starred Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula. The most modern edition from 1992 starred Gary Oldman as Dracula and also included Wynona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves.

Many versions of Dracula have been made all through the years and though there are some differences the main story remains the same, a vampire inflicts fear on the residents of Transylvania. Bram Stoker wrote the original novel back in 1897.

And the next one to see is "The Prince of Darkness" from 1987. A long-lost and forgotten container is found in an abandoned Los Angeles church. The canister contains the devil himself and if it is unleashed it could mean the end of civilization, as we know it. It is up to the Pastor and a group of students to put off the disaster.

Donald Pleasence stars as the Pastor, along with Jameson Parker, Victor Wong and Lisa Blount. Alice Cooper of rock-star fame also makes an appearance as a street schizo. "Prince of Darkness" was directed by John Carpenter.
