It used to be that you had to go to the video store to get a movie. You can now save a trip to the video store and download movies right off the internet. Below is a sample of some of the movies you can find using movie download sites.

Like Water for Chocolate: Striking and sensuous film from a novel by Laura Esquivel set in the early part of the 20th century: a youthful female's life is conditioned by her serious and unyielding mom, who treats her terribly. Sumptuous story, not without humor, with a excellent cast and a top of the line performance from lead actress Cavazos. Cast includes Lumi Cavazos, Marco Leonardi, Regina Tome, Mario Ivan Martinez, and Ada Carrasco. (113 minutes, 1992)

Money Train: Two unlikely foster brothers John, a black man, and Charlie, a white man, are both transit cops in New York. Charlie is up to his neck in bad gambling debts, and he decides it is time to do something he and John always dreamed about. Rob the money train. Will he be able to pull it off?

Dino: Mineo at his disobedient best playing young bad boy befriended by a gal Kohner and a public worker named Keith. Reginald Rose adjusted his esteemed Television play, and Mineo re-made his featuring role. Cast includes Sal Mineo, Brian Keith, Susan Kohner, Joe De Santis, Dime Santon, Blunt Faylen, and Richard BakaIyan. (94 minutes, 1957)

The Rock: General Francis Hummel is angry with the U.S. government for not honoring men he has because they died during covert operations. He is so angered by this rebuke that he takes a group of tourists visiting the now closed prison of Alcatraz, and holds them hostage. He plans to unleash poisonous gases upon the city of San Francisco if his demands are not met. The unlikely team of a biological weapons expert, and a former prisoner of Alcatraz, must sneak onto the island and attempt to thwart the plot.

Black Rain: New York detectives Nick Conklin and Nick Vincent capture a killer who is part of the Japanese Mafia. Upon escorting him back to Japan, he escapes. With the assistance of the Tokyo police they try and track this killer down. They find themselves being pulled deep into the world of the Japanese Mafia.

Black Narcissus: Visually sumptuous, dramatically charged film, from a Godden novel. Nuns are trying to develop a mission in a remote Himalayan outpost among difficult visible and spiritual tests. One of the most amazing color films ever made (deserved Oscars for cinematographers Jack Cardiff and Alfred Junge). Scenes in which Sister Better Kerr recollects her prior life was eliminated from the US version. Cast includes Deborah Kerr, David Farrar, Jean Simmons, and Kathleen Byron. (100 minutes, 1999)

The Omen: This is a remake of the classic 1976 original. Born under suspicious circumstances, young Damian is a difficult child that his mother thinks he is evil. As things develop we soon realize that Damian is in fact the son of the devil. Now his father must go to Megiddo to learn how to stop the antichrist.

The Curse of the Cat People: Follow-up to Cat People builds remarkable environment in this tale of a lonely girl who summons up a vision of Simon, her dad's bizarre first spouse. Cast includes Gunther von Fritsch, Robert Prudent, Simone Simon, Kent Smith, Jane Randolph, Ann Carter, and Julia Dean. (70 minutes, 1944)

Heartland Reggae: Shoddy documentary of '78 show remembering a visit to Jamaica by Haile Selassie. The music makes it worth watching. Cast includes Bob Marley and the Wailers, Peter Tosh, and Althea and Donna. (87 minutes, 1980)
